~Tuesday~
I plugged my IPod into my ears, and put the volume up as I walked into the host club. I watched as their faces turned towards me, and then recoiled.
The twins pointed at me, then walked up and started talking. When they had finished, I took my earphones out and asked, “What?”-*+
“What the hell did you do to yourself?!” They demanded to know.
“Oh… that. I decided that it was time for a change in appearance.” I said off handed-ly, gesturing to the black pants, white tank top and blazer; and my hair under a short blue and purple streaked wig.
“Nikyo… what did you do to yourself?” Asked Tamaki, staring at the ‘new’ me.
“I’ve decided on a new look.” I shrugged it off and put my earphones back in.
I continued to ignore everyone, sitting in a corner drinking tea, until I saw a brown haired girl enter the room and cling to Kyoya. I took my earphones out, and walked over to listen in to her conversation.
“So… you’re saying that Kyoya-senpai is your fiancée?” Asked Kaoru, and I clenched my teeth.
“Of course; my name is Renge Hoshikuji and I’m transferring into Ouran academy’s first year class A starting tomorrow.”
“Why is he sulking?” Hikaru pointed at Tamaki. “Because mommy was keeping a secret from daddy?”
“Whatever… why does everyone insist on referring to us like were husband and wife?” Muttered Kyoya.
“Ours is a story of love at first sight.” Renge brought the attention back to her. “I couldn’t resist the way that you adored those flowers in the backyard when you thought no-one else was looking, and how sweet it was when you reached out to that poor little injured kitten.” Renge was off in a daydream.
“Is she serious?” Muttered the twins and me in disbelief.
“Do you think you have the wrong person?” Asked Haruhi, only to have her shout in her face.
“No way! I could recognise my love anywhere! He’s a gentle man kind to everyone but doesn’t ask for anything in return.” As she was ranting on, Hikaru and Kaoru were shouting along the lines of. “Who the hell is she talking about?”
“He likes solitude, but sometimes, in fact, he get’s lonely. He looks like the star of the popular dating sim, Ukidoki memorial. You’re my real life Ichijo Miyami.” She finished, pointing to Kyoya.
“Uki… doki…?” Honey and Haruhi asked.
“Otaku!” Shouted Hikaru and Tamaki.
“I’ve never seen one!” Shouted Kaoru.
“I get it now, you’re in love with that character; you’re projecting that love onto me, and somehow deluded yourself into thinking that we are engaged. I assume this Miyami character wears glasses as well.” Kyoya realised, and I felt a little better… shockingly.
“So… she made it up… you’re not really her fiancée… right?” I asked, standing behind him.
“Well… no, I don’t ever remember asking for her hand in marriage… besides, this is the first time I’ve ever met the woman.” The others looked shocked.
“According to my research, you’re in charge of managing this club-“ I didn’t want to hear another word she said, so I plugged my earphones back in and put on some loud music.
~Wednesday~
The next day, the boys talked while I sat down with my earphones in, this time just listening to anything, instead of listening to them.
*I’m only here because I work here.*
I watched as she entered, and gave out cookies. I nearly laughed as Honey mumbled something into his cookie; Mori tried to take it off of him, and ended up saying something to piss her off. They ran away, around and around the room, as Hikaru and Kaoru done something to Haruhi, causing Tamaki to start yelling indignantly.
I noticed Honey offering Renge some milk, and watched as she started shouting at everyone. She shouted at Honey, and make him scream, she then shouted at Mori, who just looked at her. When she shouted at the twins, they were given basketballs, and then she shouted at Haruhi, who looked at her. When she finished with Tamaki, she turned to Kyoya and started her babble again. I pulled out my earphones, and managed to hear him say something like, ‘what about her?’
She looked at me, and shouted. “You must be the innocent one! But you need to have a dark side! No boy or girl can resist trying to protect an innocent who has been abused!”
“Come on, Kyoya-senpai, you got to do something!” Said the twins.
“Why, it seems the boss is up for it.” Kyoya pointed at Tamaki, who was acting against the wall. “Let’s just wait and see how things turn out, I bet it will be interesting… it always is…”
So, Hikaru and Kaoru ended up playing basketball, and done some brotherly-love act. Then I found watching Tamaki stand in the rain, stating to the twins about how he was envious that the twins would always have each other. I was then pushed in to do my scene, where I was cowering from Mori, as he began to push me against the wall, saying some rather odd language for someone so nice, and then he first lifted me up and muttered a sorry, before biting my neck gently, I arched my back in the ‘pain’ and then he dumped me on the floor and started chasing after Haruhi, while I curled up on myself. When the camera followed off after Haruhi, I got up and accepted the towel gratefully.
“You made that look really convincing.” Stated Kyoya, watching the progress.
“Well… Yay for me, I can reprogram myself to past issues.” I muttered. “Renge has no clue that I already have a dark side. She’s such an idiot.”
I watched in silence as Honey ruined the nasty scene by running up to Haruhi and apologising. Renge was fuming.
“What?! CUT, CUT, CUT! What’s wrong with you? You got to stick to the script!” He yelled at Honey.
“But I can’t!” Wailed Honey, still crying on Haruhi’s lap.
“Stop rolling, cameraman; I want the rain to make things seem tragic-“I couldn’t hear Renge over Hikaru and Kaoru’s mutterings.
“How did we go from changing our characters, to shooting a movie about them?” Asked Hikaru.
I agreed, it did seem stupid.
